However, wine has always been a way of life for hundreds of small growers in the area. Cárdenas Badarán, Cordovín or Arenzana are some of the villages of greatest wine-growing heritage in La Rioja. Here we have always made wine in small harvester wineries: whites and "claretes" have always been the most famous.
Despite being one of the most famous wine regions in Spain, Rioja still has corners, vineyards and wines to be discovered. This is the case in our area, the Najerilla Valley, in the heart of Rioja Alta but isolated because of the absence of communication routes, which has resulted in the large wineries never settling here.
The warmer climate cycle in recent years has favored our old at altitude vineyards, which now reach optimum maturation points, giving us some of the best red grapes in La Rioja.
